MOROCCO TRIP REPORT AND TRAVEL ITINERARY

Here a bit from the Morocco trip report that contains a lot of travel information about destinations, weather, etc... and some silly anecdotes about our journey too.
"We could immediately feel the unique atmosphere of Morocco, a country rich in beauty and history where every stone, every hut, every cous-cous spreads an aura of Moroccan culture."
"Of all the ancient cities made of sand-colored, decadent houses, the most fascinating one had an imposing fortress that looked over vast cultivated fields. There were picturesque muletracks, handmade water channels and farmers dragging donkeys laden with vegetables. There were also the best dates of the world."

MOROCCO TRAVEL INFO

Why? Morocco is a country rich of natural and cultural attractions. The dry climate is another good reason to visit Morocco. Of course, the inexperienced traveler should be aware that this is an Arab country facing some economic problems (but everybody does, nowadays!).
When to go? Morocco boasts beaches, snow-capped mountains and deserts. In most of the country the heat is the worst enemy during the summer months, while the rest of the year is excellent for an active exploration of the country. In winter it might be rainy sometimes, and even cold, especially if your travel itinerary includes the coast and the mountains.
How? Morocco can be conveniently toured by car. With your own wheels you will be able to drive through extraordinary landscapes and to stop here and there to admire the view or to have a walk. Traffic is a pain, but only in the cities (try to honk once every two to three seconds), while all roads may feature sudden holes... but it’s all worth to enjoy your freedom.
How much? Flights from Europe to Morocco (Marrakesh or Fez) are very cheap thanks to low cost airlines (you might find a round-trip flight for 50-100 euros). The cost of life is low: you can have a decent dinner for 5 euros, a good one for 10.

Where? The historic town of Marrakesh is very fascinating, but the landscapes in the central part of Morocco are even more stunning. This travel itinerary touches canyons, sand dunes, oasis… from Dades to Merzouga, the nature is quite boastful. There are picturesque and imposing fortresses like Ait Benhaddou. The gorgeous fishermen town of Essaouira is also a good surfing spot.
Where else? First of all check out this other travel itinerary for a Moroccan trip.
Plus, surfers and sun-tanners might appreciate all the coast of Morocco from Essaouira to Agadir. There are other historic cities such as Casablanca or Tangier. The northern part of Morocco has a Mediterranean flair, while the Atlas Mountains feature spectacular landscapes.
